CHINA SERVICE MEDAL
The Craig was awarded the China Service Medal in 1947 for assisting in the repatriation of Japanese POW’s from China and assisting the Chinese Central Government in enforcing the surrender terms.


NATIONAL DEFENSE SERVICE MEDAL with one star
Received for honorable active duty during the years 1950 to 1954 with the addition of a bronze star for the years 1961 to 1974.

NAVY OCCUPATIONAL SERVICE MEDAL with "ASIA" clasp
Service performed in the Asiatic-Pacific areas between the years 1945 to 1952.

UNITED STATES KOREAN SERVICE MEDAL with 3 stars
Craig received her first Korean Service Medal for actions during the 1st U.N. Counteroffensive 15 March to 6 April 1951 with additional stars for the Communist China, Spring Offensive 22 April to 17 May 1951, United Nations Summer-Fall Offensive 11 July to 8 August 1951 and the Korean Defense 29 June to 30 July 1953.

UNITED NATIONS KOREAN SERVICE MEDAL
For service in Korea between 27 June 1950 and 27 July 1954.

REPUBLIC OF KOREA WAR SERVICE MEDAL
For at least six months service in the Republic of Korea between 1950 and 1953.

KOREAN PRESIDENTIAL UNIT CITATION
For actions on 18 September 1951 in a shoot out with enemy shore batteries at Kalmagak,  Korea.


ARMED FORCES EXPEDITIONARY MEDAL with three stars
Craig was awarded her first Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for participation in 7th. Fleet operations off the islands of Quemoy and Matsu and in the Taiwan Straits between 7 September 1960 and 1 November 1961. She added a star for operations off the coast of Vietnam from 10 April 1965 to 2 July 1965. She added the second star for "Operation Formation Star" for actions between 23 January & 22 March 1968 in support of the USS Pueblo Incident. She added a third star for actions off the Korean coast in the Sea of Japan between 16 January and 13 February 1971.

NAVY “E” RIBBON
Craig was awarded the coveted Battle Efficiency “E” for the 1965 competitive year and also the Engineering “E”.

 

MARJORIE STERRETT BATTLESHIP FUND AWARD
In 1966 Craig was awarded the “Marjorie Sterrett Battleship Fund Award as the most battle ready ship in the Pacific Fleet.


VIETNAM SERVICE MEDAL with seven stars
 
Craig was awarded Vietnam Service Medals for participation in the following actions. The Vietnam Defense Campaign between 8 March and 24 December 1965. The Vietnamese Counteroffensive between 25 December 1965 and 30 June 1966. The Vietnamese Counteroffensive Phase II between 1 July 1966 and 31 May 1967. The Tet Counteroffensive between 30 January and 1 April 1968  The Vietnamese Counteroffensive Phase IV between 2 April and 30 June 1968.The Vietnamese Counteroffensive Phase VII between 1 July 1970 and 30 June 1971Consolidation II between 1 December 1971 and 29 March 1972 Vietnam Ceasefire Campaign between 30 March 1972 and 28 January 1973.


  Silver Star

COMBAT ACTION RIBBON with One Silver Star
Craig was awarded Combat Action Ribbons for actions in Korean War and the Vietnam on the following dates:14 November 1966 - 19 November 1966
3 May 1968 - 7 May 1968 - 9 April 1972 - 13 April 1972

NAVY UNIT COMMENDATION
Craig was awarded the Navy Unit Commendation for actions in Vietnam between 30 April and 16 May 1968.

NAVY MERITORIOUS UNIT COMMENDATION
Craig was awarded the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation for actions in Vietnam between:        2 March and 15 December of 1972.


RVN GALLANTRY CROSS UNIT CITATION RIBBON and one star
Craig was awarded the RVN Gallantry Cross Unit Citation twice by the Republic of South Vietnam for valorous combat achievement in actions on the following dates: 
28 April to 8 May 1968  and    3 December to 8 July 1972

REPUBLIC of VIETNAM CAMPAIGN RIBBON
The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal was awarded for service outside the geographical limits of the Republic of Vietnam and contributing direct combat support to the Republic of Vietnam and Armed Forces for at least six months between 1961 and 1973.
